Come experience a New Year’s celebration in the Motherland with us!!
THE ITINERARY
day 1- arrive in accra, ghana
Welcome to Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana! Our arranged transportation will be waiting for you right outside of customs and baggage claim to transport you to our luxury lodging for the week.
Upon arrival one of the URBN TRVL hosts will greet you and show you to your room. After you get settled in, we will have introductions and a brief welcome; for those ready to turn up, we will hit up a “brunch” party. Don’t ask, just wait and see… ;)
day 2- city exploration
Get up bright and early to explore some local sights starting with Black Star Square, also known as Independence Square. Together we will explore some of the most iconic locations and cultural centers of this beautiful city.
This tour will allow us to meander around at our own pace and learn from our tour guide the true history of Ghana that they did not teach us in schools.
In the afternoon/evening we will check out some “Africulture Vibes”.
day 3- cape coast and elmina castles
Are you ready for a cultural immersion, because this is IT! For years now, Ghana has been campaigning for our black brothers and sisters of the African Diaspora to return home. As such we have responded to the calling and we will venture to the very location our ancestors departed from.
This place has been known to speak to your soul and present intense feelings and connections with the past. In addition to visiting some of the oldest castles in sub Saharan Africa, we will also have an opportunity to walk across hanging bridges through the jungle. Something fun will be necessary to balance the day!
Afrochella Festival will be the first move for the evening!
DAY 4- labadi beach
What is a trip to Accra without hitting the beach? As you may know, there are several beaches along the coast line sand today we will venture to one of them for some fun in the sun and relaxation.
If we fancy, we can stay until the evening when the nightlife heats up, followed by AFRONATION!
DAY 5- New Years’ Eve
During the day we will meetup for dope pool vibes. We know you brought more bathing suits than you can actually wear, so now is your chance to give them some shine and get your Instagram poppin’.
The group color theme will be announced as we get closer to the trip.
Tonight is the night we have all been waiting for. Get your best outfits ready for a sexy dinner as we prepare to count down the new year! The city will be EXPLODING with activity and we can’t wait to experience it with you!
Day 6- new years’ day
After the previous wild night, let’s meetup for breakfast and recap those moments. Bring your phones, share pictures, have mimosas. You know the vibes.
This is a free day so the choice is yours how you spend it. If you are still up for the party, trust, there’s more to be had!
Later we will head to Sandbox, the most poppin’ Sunday beach party in Accra!
Day 7- ATV’s or free day
For those that have traveled with us before, you know we could not end this trip without some heart pumping action. For those adrenaline junkies amongst us, we will take a ride on some ATVs or jet skis at a resort just outside the city.
If you prefer to wind down, we suggest using the day to do any last minute shopping or taking advantage of a relaxing massage in the hotel spa. After this long week of partying and excursions, you deserve some pampering.
Day 8- ghana DEPARTURES
On our final morning, perhaps take a dip in the pool before checking out and heading to the airport.
Hopefully, you had a fun-filled week with us and realize URBN TRVL just does it better, and will surely join us on our next adventures!
