day 1- arrive in nairobi, kenya

Welcome to the Jomo Kenyatta International (NBO) in majestic Nairobi, Kenya! Our arranged transportation will be waiting for you right outside of customs and baggage claim to transport you to our luxury lodging for the week.

Upon arrival at “Chez UrbnTrvl”, one of the URBN TRVL hosts will greet you and show you to your room. After you get settled in, we will have introductions and a brief welcome; for those ready to explore the city, we will head to Maasai Market Store to get our day started.

day 2- private safari tour

Get up bright and early to leave for Maasai Mara, one of Kenya’s most popular National Reserves. This will be an all day event and gives us more than enough time to spot all of the animals during our Safari.

Elephants galore, lions, giraffes, huge herds of buffalo, zebras, and monkeys are some of the animals we will see in their natural habitats.

day 3- hot air balloons

UP, UP, AND AWAY!! On this day we will take an unusual yet exciting form of transportation across the beautiful landscape.

The flight will cover land, water, and safari. Yes, you will get a better view all the animals across the African plains from a bird’s eye view.

DAY 5- thanksgiving day

We will celebrate Thanksgiving Day in the true spirit of the holiday!!

Relaxing in the house enjoying the pool and each other’s company as our private chef prepares Thanksgiving Dinner is what’s on the agenda for today.

We will eat our delicious food and jubilate as the spirits flow.

Day 6-  THe falconry

The falconry in Malindi houses a large number of bird species and is a perfect spot for bird watching. Many species of birds dwell in this park including eagles, falcons, owls and pecker birds.

If you are up for a little more razzle dazzle how about letting the eagle perch on your arm?

Day 7- free day to explore

Today is YOUR day.

We suggest using the day to explore the town and buy souvenirs for friends and family or just relax and suck up the Malindi sun-rays as much as you can.

Visas & Immunizations

Kenyan Immigration has instituted a strict visa policy whereby all visitors are required to apply and obtain an e-visa before boarding an aircraft. The e-visa can be obtained through an online system. For questions or concerns, please visit Kenya Immigration’s website.

  • A passport with at least two blank pages, six months’ validity, and a visa are required to enter Kenya.

  • Single-entry visas are available online. Multiple-entry visas must be applied for prior to traveling to Kenya.

  • Obtain the latest information on visas, as well as any additional details regarding entry requirements, from the Embassy of Kenya, 2249 R Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20008, telephone (202) 387-6101, or the Kenyan Consulates General in Los Angeles and New York City.

  • You should have proof of yellow fever immunizations, or you may be denied entry.

  • In December 2018, the Kenyan government announced a new work permit program that requires foreigners to apply for permits and visas from their country of origin. It is recommended that work permit applications be submitted 6-8 weeks prior to travel. People already in Kenya working on a permit should submit renewal applications at last 90 days before the permit expires.

For additional information on immunizations and detailed country-specific recommendations on vaccinations and other health precautions for travelers to Kenya, visit the CDC’s Travelers’ Health website.
